Biography

Rahul Parikh, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist in the Division of Hematology Oncology at Hillman Cancer Center. He specializes in treating patients with genitourinary malignancies with a focus on prostate cancer.

Dr. Parikh is board-certified in internal medicine. He received his medical degree from Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital in Mumbai, India, and his doctorate in Human Genetics, with an emphasis on DNA repair in cancer, at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Parikh completed his residency in internal medicine at UPMC Shadyside, where he received the I. Arthur Mirsky award for compassion and clinical integrity, and completed his fellowship in hematology/oncology at UPMC.

Dr. Parikh is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Society for Human Genetics (ASHG), American Medical Association (AMA), American Association of Cancer Research (AACR), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital Alumni.
