Rajesh Sehgal, MBBS, MD, FACP, is a hematologist/medical oncologist at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. He specializes in the treatment of solid tumors, including breast cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, lymphomas, and genitourinary cancers. He also specializes in blood disorders, including low blood counts, bleeding problems, blood cancers and coagulation abnormalities.
Dr. Sehgal is board-certified in hematology, medical oncology, and internal medicine. He received his medical degree from the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at McLaren Regional Medical Center, Flint, Mich., and a hematology/oncology fellowship at UPMC. He currently serves as the vice president of Medical Affairs and division chief for Hematology and Oncology at UPMC East.
Dr. Sehgal is internationally renowned, authoring papers in various academic journals. He has been invited to national lectures, and has been honored with merit awards by the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American College of Physicians, and European Society of Clinical Oncology.
