Ryan P. Smith, MD, is an associate professor of radiation oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the medical director at UPMC St. Margaret, and the residency program codirector for the Department of Radiation Oncology at UPCI. He sees all radiation oncology cases, and has a research interest in prostate cancer.
Dr. Smith is board-certified in radiation oncology. He completed an undergraduate degree at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa., and a medical degree at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Smith completed an internship at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, and a residency at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Smith is a member of professional organizations, such as American Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncologists, American Society of Clinical Oncologists, and the American Brachytherapy Society.
