Biography

Yoshio Arai, MD, is a radiation oncologist at UPMC CancerCenter at UPMC Presbyterian where he supervises Gamma Knife services, UPMC Cancer Center at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, and UPMC Shadyside. Dr. Arai also provides inpatient consultations at UPMC CancerCenter at UPMC Mercy. Board-certified in radiation oncology and diagnostic radiology, Dr. Arai received his medical degree from Hokkaido University Graduate School of Medicine in Sapporo, Japan. He completed his residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., Montreal General Hospital in Montreal, and Okinawa Chubu Hospital in Japan.
