Biography

Christine Garcia, MD, MPH, is a medical oncologist and hematologist. She specializes in the treatment of solid tumors and blood disorders.

Dr. Garcia is board-certified in internal medicine. She received her medical degree from St. George's University in Grenada. Dr. Garcia completed a residency in internal medicine and served as chief resident at the Stony Brook University Medical Center in Stony Brook, N.Y. She also completed a hematology and oncology fellowship at UPMC. In addition, Dr. Garcia holds a master's degree in public health from the University of Illinois in Chicago and worked for the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency prior to medical school. Her research is focused on quality improvement initiatives in cancer care.

Dr. Garcia is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
