Biography

Jennifer G. Steiman, MD, FACS, is an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology. She specializes in breast surgical oncology and evaluation and treatment of benign and malignant disorders of the breast.

Board-certified in general surgery, she received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois. She completed her residency in general surgery from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in surgical breast oncology at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital.

Dr. Steiman is a member of the Association of Women Surgeons (AWS), American College of Surgeons (ACS), Association of Academic Surgery (AAS), American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBS), Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Medical Association (AMA), and Association of Surgical Education (ASE).
