Joel S. Greenberger, MD is a Claude Worthington Benedum Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at UPMC, and codirector of the Lung Cancer Center at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. He specializes in radioprotection and the radiation treatment for lung and esophageal cancers.

Dr. Greenberger is board-certified in therapeutic radiology. He received an undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York, and completed a medical degree, cum laude, at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Greenberger completed a residency at the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School in Boston.
