Robert P. Edwards, MD, is the executive vice chair of gynecologic services at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, director of the Ovarian Cancer Center for Excellence at the Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC Gynecologic Cancer Program, and a professor of medicine in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Edwards specializes in all aspects of gynecologic oncology, and has a particular interest in intraperitoneal chemotherapy.

Dr. Edwards is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as gynecologic oncology. He received an undergraduate degree at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pa., and received a medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Edwards completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
