Tumor Boards at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center tumor boards include a discussion between medical, surgical, radiation oncologists as well as gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and pathologists. Other disciplines attending are mid-levels, SCC Coordinators, pain/palliative care, nutrition, social work, genetic counselors, and behavioral medicine. De-identified cases of interest, including radiology images, pathology results, and treatments provided are presented by the various physicians. After careful review, input is given by the experts and a proposed plan of care is developed.

If you’re a UPMC physician and would like input from a UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Tumor Board on your case, please fill out the following form or send a secure message to the administrator with the following information.

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Medical record number
  • Imaging and biopsy locations
  • Information on scans or pathology to be reviewed

UPMC physicians are encouraged to access tumor boards even if they are not seeking input. Contact the tumor board administrators to gain access to a meeting and for information on possible CME opportunities.
