Lifestyle Nutrition Program

Lifestyle Nutrition is defined as a framework for how food integrates with the prevention and management of medical illness in real life and in real time.

There are three areas that form the Lifestyle Nutrition Program:

Lifestyle Nutrition Consult:

Meet one on one with our Registered Dietitian who focuses on Lifestyle Nutrition

You can expect:

  • A full nutrition assessment which includes a 24-hour food recall
  • Evaluation of lifestyle and eating habits, nutrient needs, daily activities, and stress factors
  • Thorough education and intervention
  • Goal planning and follow-ups

Cooking for Cancer and Chronic Disease:

Led by our expert Registered Dietitian who specializes in Lifestyle Nutrition, the Teaching Kitchen is used to host group classes for patients, caregivers, and staff.

Classes integrate nutrition, medicine, and cuisine by teaching you how to choose, prepare and cook food to optimize health. Classes are presented by real people, in real time. You can expect an enjoyable, lighthearted experience in 30 minutes or less.

Classes are virtual and free.

Nutrition Ambassador Program

The Nutrition Ambassador Program joins instruction, evidence-based research, and lifestyle nutrition at the bedside.

Dietitians provide lifestyle nutrition therapy to people with chronic diseases. They look at all aspects of a person's life and address different nutrition-related concerns.

Patients can expect their Nutrition Ambassador to provide one-on-one education on diet and lifestyle strategies to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
