Training & Research at the Koch Regional Cancer Therapy Center

HIPEC Training Program

Despite the successes of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemoperfusion (HIPEC) treatments, they have not been generally applied to patients, partly because of a lack of training among cancer specialists.

The David C. Koch Regional Perfusion Cancer Therapy Center is a training facility for established surgeons with an interest in perfusion procedures, as well as for fellows in surgical training and surgical cancer fellowship programs.

This training program provides medical professionals with the opportunity to:

  • Observe perfusion procedures
  • View instructional video
  • Attend formal training classes
  • Utilize Internet-based learning tools
  • Participate in conferences for updates in HIPEC technology

International Symposium on Regional Cancer Therapies

A Research Resource

The David C. Koch Regional Cancer Therapy Center is a resource for investigating new drugs, techniques, and equipment in regional perfusion. 

The program conducts both basic and clinical research, offering participation to investigators worldwide through collaboration and a research fellowship.
