Our Treatment for Lymphoma at the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers

Lymphoma refers to a group of blood cancers that develop from abnormal white blood cells, or lymphocytes. Our experts treat all types and subtypes of both Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma using the latest therapies, including chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy.

Our Treatment Approach

Our center provides patients with access to a team of highly trained lymphoma experts. We were the first in western Pennsylvania to provide FDA-approved CAR T-cell therapy for adult patients with certain types of B-cell lymphomas, and our physicians and researchers are also participating in—and in some cases, leading—industry-sponsored clinical trials investigating additional CAR T-cell therapies.

Our physicians collaborate and routinely discuss cases to develop the most appropriate treatment plans for your type and stage of disease based on the latest research and your:

Our customized plans may include stem cell transplantation and immunotherapy, such as CAR T-cell therapy, based on your individual needs.

Lymphoma Clinical Trials

The Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers offers lymphoma clinical trials to provide patients with access to new treatments that may not be available elsewhere.

We currently offer clinical trials for:

• Anaplastic large cell lymphoma
• Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma
• Mantle cell lymphoma
• Relapsed or refractory classical Hodgkin’s lymphoma
• Relapsed or refractory DLBCL of the activated B-cell subtype
