Additional Cancer Support Groups - Call for More Information

The support groups below do not meet on regular days or dates. Please contact the group to find out more, or call the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at 412-623-4733 for more information.

Located at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, the Richard G. Laube Cancer Center holds various support groups in the Bracken Conference Room. 

In addition to support groups, Tai Chi and Yoga are available weekly. Tai Chi meets every Wednesday in the Cancer Center Lobby. Yoga meets every Tuesday at 4:30 pm in the Cancer Center Lobby.

The International Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF) support group meets four times per year, alternating between Cleveland, OH and Pittsburgh, PA.

The meetings provide education and support for patients and caregivers who are touched by the rare lymphoma Waldenstrom’s.

Self-help group for patients, as well as families and friends of mesothelioma patients.

Our Clubhouse

Located at 2816 Smallman Street in the Strip District. Our Clubhouse provides various support groups and activities.

Patient and Family Resource Center at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Passavant

The Resource Center is located at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Passavant in McCandless. Located on the first floor, it is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call Kathleen at 412-748-5762 to register and for more information.

  • Free pamphlets about types of cancer and patient support; books and CDs available for loan
  • Public access computers for internet research; comfortable reading areas
  • Full-time oncology patient education Nurse on-site
  • ‘Chemotherapy 101’ class is offered for patients, caregivers, and family members new to chemotherapy treatment; Mondays 8:30-10:00 a.m., Tuesdays 9:00-10:30 a.m., and Thursdays 2:00-3:30 p.m.

The Regional Cancer Center (TRCC)

The TRCC in Erie, PA offers various support groups and resources for patients, caregivers and survivors. Visit their website for more information. Stewart's Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center

Stewart's Caring Place in Akron, OH, provides a caring, relaxed environment offering supportive services and programs for individuals and families on their cancer journey.
